Global Solidarity March in Detroit, Michigan USA “CHALO UNA”

A big group Ambedkar Association of North America, Michigan Chapter protestors showed in Detroit down town supporting #ChaloUna showing placards and took a mile-long march demonstrating against the ongoing caste atrocities committed against the Dalits.

To draw maximum attention to Americans and Canadians, on the brutal and barbaric atrocities on Dalits in India and in solidarity with #ChaloUna Freedom march, Ambedkar Association of North America took out this march from Hart Plaza to Detroit riverfront passing through Marriott Hotel, GM Plaza a major attraction area where American Canadians gathered for ongoing hart Plaza summer festivals, and concerts.

60th Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din-Michigan

Ambedkar Association of North America Michigan Chapter celebrated “60th Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din” at the Midwest Buddhist mediation center in Warren, Michigan. Approximately 30 to 35 locals & families from Ohio attended this event.

This event was hosted by “Dayalan Kuthala” with a series of speakers Mr. Tanaji Sakpal, Mahesh Wasnik, and Mr.Revan Chabukswar. Dhamma talk delivered by Midwest Buddhist mediation center head monk Ven. Bhante Thanapath and International Peace monastery head monk Ven, Bhante Dharmananda.

Ven. Bhante Achan Thanapat presented the constitution of the India/Preamble banner and 22 vows to our community. He mentions Dr Ambedkar embrace Buddhism for his people and now our duty to propagate it nationally and internationally. Ven, Bhante Dharmananda emphasize on “How Mind play game with our thinking process so he ask to practice mindfulness meditation to control your mind”.

Cultural program participation: Arsh Wasnik played the Trombone, Arya Patil sang lotus sutra “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” and a small play “Angulimal” acted by Arsh, Sana, Trupti and Mahesh Wasnik.
